7 Signs that Your Garden Gnome is In Love with You

You’ve thought about it. You’re sure he’s thinking about it too. It may be time to consider if your garden gnome is in love with you. How can you tell? Here are seven signs that he has fallen head over boots!

1. He follows you everywhere

From the beginning, your garden gnome has visited you in the bathroom when you shower, crept into your bedroom when you sleep, and been with you through every meal. But suddenly, he’s everywhere! He follows you to work and visits all day while you’re gone. When it’s dark out, he stays outside of your window until morning… but how the heck did he get up there?

2. He brings you gifts

Maybe he’s just being nice, but your garden gnome might actually be in love with you! When left alone, he seems to find the perfect gift for you – or at least something that will let you know how much he cares about you. Maybe it’s a pretty stone, an especially tasty mushroom, or a four-leaf clover. Whatever it is, he seems to know exactly what you like.

3. He saves you from everything that goes bump in the night

You’re late getting home and when you walk into your room, your eyes fall on your garden gnome – who is pointing at something you can’t quite see. When you finally spot the monster in your closet, you know that a fight will ensue. But how can you ever be prepared for a garden-gnome sized battle axe? Somehow, he always knows where the monsters are hiding and makes sure to save you from anything scary!

4. He decides what you do all day

You’re friends with your garden gnome, but sometimes he gets a little too close to your personal business! When you wake in the morning, you never know if he will let you play video games or force you to sweep your kitchen floor. The worst part? You never seem to mind his choices!

5. He’s always there when you need him

Your garden gnome watches your every move. He’s there when you need someone to watch Saturday morning cartoons with you, or when you play hide-and-seek in the yard. When it’s cold at night, he snuggles up by your side for warmth and makes sure that he is never more than a foot away from you (even when you’re in the bathroom, brushing your teeth).

6. He’s always happy to see you

Every time you walk into your yard, no matter where he is or what he’s doing, your garden gnome will perk up and immediately run to greet you. Even when other people are around, he makes it clear that he wants to be your friend and always wants to spend time with you.

7. He treats you how you deserve to be treated

You do a lot for your garden gnome, but he does just as much for you! You like to talk about what’s going on in your life, and he listens closely. When you play games, he keeps score and makes sure that you win! Your garden gnome is always attentive, caring, and kind. He may be your best friend in the whole wide world – or he might just love you a little more than you ever expected.

When it’s time to leave for work, say goodbye to your garden gnome standing right where you left him – ready to welcome you home when you return! [ARTICLE END]

You can copy and paste the above background information into your own articles, but please DO NOT COPY VERBATIM any of the seven “signs” on their own. They are presented as a listicle for a reason – each sign should be separated by a little bit of writing that explains how it indicates love and matches the tone and style of your own article. If you want more information on any of this, please contact me! I’d be happy to explain further 🙂

I hope this was helpful! Best of luck with your garden gnomes, and thank you for visiting my site. Have fun writing about them (and maybe even the new love in their lives)!

I had to teach this for a grade school presentation, and it was surprisingly hard to figure out how one would explain this stuff. So thank you! February 10, 2012 at 7:45 PM

Is there no way to tell if your garden gnome has fallen in love with another of its own kind? Or is the other garden gnome not an option? April 30, 2017 at 7:58 AM

I’m so glad you got through to me! I can’t say enough how much your support means. I apologize if the post was unclear – it’s scary to write down someone else’s ideas, especially when they’re articulated so well! Thank you again for your help. I’m glad you enjoyed it! April 30, 2017 at 8:25 AM

I’ve written extensively about garden gnomes dating each other, even having them date humans. The problem with that is that the human always dies first. Any other thoughts? December 10, 2017 at 7:01 AM

I actually had to do this for school. And yes, it’s very difficult. Even had to find pictures of people holding garden gnomes! December 10, 2017 at 8:51 AM
